Joint Interface Control Officer


Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Joint Interface Control Officer position! This is a direct placement opportunity and will be onsite in Fayetteville, NC. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive curriculum for Joint Interface Design (JID) courses, ensuring training standards align with operational requirements
  • Serve as primary liaison with Combatant Commander operational staffs to coordinate exercise planning, preparation, and execution
  • Prepare, review, and validate OPTASK LINK messages for Joint Tactical Operations (JTO) exercises, ensuring accurate tactical data link communications
  • Lead analysis of multi-Tactical Data Link (TDL) architecture performance and implement improvements based on operational observations
  • Represent the Joint Interface Design program at joint and combined interoperability working groups, advocating for enhanced data link capabilities
  • Operate and maintain the Link 16 Pulse Deconfliction Server (LPDS), providing technical support to users on Frequency Clearance and Time Slot Duty Factor (TSDF) issues
  • Coordinate with development and acquisition agencies to procure and evaluate JICO automated tools, maintaining configuration management across all systems
  • Plan and administer training courses, including development of schedules, student briefs, handouts, administrative documents, and coordination of hands-on field training
  • Support Mobile Training Teams with worldwide deployment capability, often under austere field conditions



What You'll Need to Have:

  • 10+ years of proven Datalink experience with demonstrated expertise in tactical data link operations and architecture
  • Graduate of JT-301 (Joint Interface Control Officer course)
  • Military instructor experience with ability to develop and deliver technical training to diverse audiences
  • Secret security clearance (active and in good standing)
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and related experience
  • Strong understanding of Link 16 networks, OPTASK LINK message formats, and joint exercise planning processes
  • Capability for worldwide deployment supporting Mobile Training Teams in field environments
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with ability to work effectively across Combatant Commander staffs and joint working groups


Pay Range: $95,000-$105,000
