Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their ServiceNow Developer position with expertise in SN development with Flow Designer! This is a 6 months contract-to-hire opportunity and will be remote in United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Build and maintain controller flows and reusable subflows for multi-step vendor processes, including approvals, task orchestration, and pre/post-integration steps
- Develop catalog items, client scripts, and script includes while maintaining clean, maintainable code and form logic
- Design and support REST/S3 integrations from end-to-end, including payload creation, status checks, work notes updates, and retry logic
- Manage large inbound data sets by mapping, coalescing, and implementing data governance as information flows into ServiceNow
- Implement robust error handling and validation protocols; analyze logs, trace failures, and resolve root causes efficiently
- Model and leverage key data relationships including vendor records, contracts, approval workflows, hierarchy structures, and category codes
- Demo completed work to stakeholders and build rapid proof-of-concepts to validate technical approaches
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies by refining user stories, ensuring acceptance criteria are met, and iterating quickly based on feedback
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test data, triaging issues, and maintaining communication loops with administrators and fulfillment teams
- Partner with platform administrators and project leadership to ensure smooth, predictable releases
What You'll Need to Have:
- 3-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with Flow Designer, Approvals, Catalog Items, Client Scripts, and Script Includes
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required
- Strong proficiency with App Workflow Engine and backend Java scripting for building custom functionality
- Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems (REST/S3 APIs) and managing payloads end-to-end
- Solid understanding of custom scoped applications, ACLs, Business Rules, and OOTB functionality versus customization decisions
- Experience with ITSM, Customer Service Management (CSM), SPOKE, and Integration Hub
- Knowledge of data governance concepts and inbound data patterns (import sets, transforms, coalesce operations)
- Strong debugging skills with the ability to trace issues, implement effective logging, and resolve problems at the root cause level
- Clear English communication skills with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and maintain alignment across teams
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification preferred
Pay Range: $55-60/hr
