Business Systems Analyst
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Business Systems Analyst position! This is a 12+ month contract and will be remote in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Serve as a key contributor to the API governance program, facilitating the definition of standards, best practices, controls, and policies across the organization
• Lead functional design efforts for moderately complex projects from proposal through post-implementation, ensuring alignment with business requirements and regulatory standards
• Coordinate data gathering and data definition initiatives across multiple business groups, serving as a technical facilitator for cyber, architecture, IT, risk, and software engineering teams
• Develop comprehensive documentation to educate the organization on governance practices, including functional specifications, test plans, and test cases for assigned applications
• Manage end-to-end testing activities including test case execution, integrated testing coordination, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support to verify changes perform as expected
• Collaborate with business clients and Technology teams to analyze requirements, assess system impacts, and ensure application changes meet enterprise-wide initiatives and compliance requirements
• Drive efficient issue resolution during testing and implementation phases, conducting post-implementation follow-up to gather feedback and resolve any resulting issues
• Mentor less experienced staff on application training, research analysis, and project methodology best practices
What You'll Need to Have:
• 4+ years of combined experience in higher education, operational experience, and/or business analytics
• Experience coordinating data gathering and data definition across multiple groups within an organization
• Proven ability to serve as a technical facilitator for cross-functional initiatives involving cyber, architecture, IT, risk, and software engineering teams
• Strong proficiency with project management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications, along with solid problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while identifying gaps and opportunities for program improvement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present effectively to all levels of management
• Experience drafting and introducing new technology governance policies is a plus
• Bachelor's degree preferred
Pay Range: $35-40/hr
