Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their JDE Developer position! This is a 12 month contract-to-hire opportunity and will be remote in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain custom applications, modules, and interfaces within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne version 9.2
- Translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions aligned with JDE best practices and architecture standards
- Design and maintain integrations between JD Edwards and other enterprise systems including CRM, EDI, and data analytics platforms
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives within the JDE landscape to enhance operational efficiency
- Provide daily system support in a split capacity—alternating between customer support and development work to ensure continuous system reliability
- Monitor JDE system performance, conduct root-cause analyses for application errors, and implement proactive solutions
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams within a SAFe Agile framework, participating in daily standups and 2-week sprint cycles
- Ensure data integrity through effective database design, SQL query optimization, and comprehensive technical documentation
- Mentor junior developers on the team and contribute to technical planning and knowledge sharing
- Travel quarterly for 2-3 day PI planning events to align with broader team objectives
What You'll Need to Have:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development, with specific expertise in version 9.2
- Expert proficiency with JD Edwards toolset including OMW, FDA, RDA, and experience developing Business Functions, NER, BSFN, and UBE
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, Java, or RPG with the ability to build custom solutions
- Deep knowledge of JD Edwards modules across Finance, Distribution, and Manufacturing
- Solid SQL skills and database experience with Oracle or SQL Server, including query optimization and data modeling
- Proven experience with integration protocols (EDI, XML, REST, SOAP) and JDE integration tools such as Orchestrator or CafeOne
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, support production systems, and maintain high system availability
- Track record of mentoring team members and providing technical leadership in collaborative environments
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for varied work—comfortable switching between support and development activities and thriving in dynamic, change-oriented environments
Pay Range: $55-65/hr
