Job Summary:         All employees are expected to work towards a common purpose: To place devotionals into the hands of as many people as we can during our lifetime. 

 

Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for customized books. Performs a variety of word processing and administrative tasks to produce custom devotionals for churches, ministries and Christian businesses. Included in these tasks are accurately applying client information into pre-designed templates, making needed adjustments and reviewing all work for accuracy.

 

Processes a variety of administrative tasks associated with all clients requested devotional layout revisions. This includes carefully reviewing and proofing all client deliverables to ensure their accuracy and quality while successfully and accurately executing the client’s request.

 

Provides input and feedback in meetings.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  1. Provides primary design support across all company production channels

 

Generates, manipulates, resizes and creates custom images and text to consolidate in our customized books, marketing pieces and packaging, website, mobile app, email and any other areas needed.

 

This would also include creating print collateral such as postcards, flyers, informative and instructional materials, etc.  

 

  1. Responsible for quarterly devotional information typesetting, proofreading and revision and ensuring all client proofs are completed accurately.

 

Accurately proofreads, identifies client grammatical errors and applies needed corrections for custom client devotional layouts. Strives for 100% in accuracy, typesetting, grammar and attention to detail.

 

           Creates, changes or adjusts the client design proofs for print. Receives and applies the instructions given by the client or the Church Care Partner.

 

     3.   Performs the steps of the process and meets or exceeds production schedules and deadlines.

 

Adjusts and improves images submitted by the client for print. Applies gray scaling of images for client proof layout and print. Performs a careful review of every design change made to a client’s design proof. 

 

Assists in reviewing, emailing and printing of client proofs and production-related documents.

 

     4.   Produces quarterly assets for digital and print.

 

Curate’s images for quarterly cover selection process. Creates all print ready cover and business reply envelope pdfs. Produces the large cover image for the foyer display and any other required assets as needed.

 

     5..  Responsible for word processing and document layout.

 

           Must be proficient in word processing, organization, and priority management

 

     6.   Stays current with knowledge of product information, production and delivery schedules, marketing and promotion materials and other information necessary to provide excellent customer service.

 

Participate in Print Production team meetings. Works with the team to develop and initiate concepts that provide solutions and improvements to the quarterly print production process.

 

Attend other company meetings, as needed. Coordinates with members of other departments

 

     7.   Willingly completes other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Education:                            two-year degree required, 2-4 years related experience preferred

 

Experience:                         Possesses strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

 

Must demonstrate the ability to proofread text copy for grammatical and spelling errors; be able to follow a process flow chart

 

Must be able to multi-task and have the ability to work with office software, including Microsoft Office, CRM and/or accounting software

 

Work is conducted in a typical office environment
