Recruiting Specialist Job Description

Position Type: Full Time, Exempt        Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm         Reports To: VP, Human Resources


The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for managing the recruiting function, working with hiring managers to source qualified candidates to fill open positions, while providing a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

 

Role and Responsibilities

·        Manage the recruiting process from initial contact with candidates to coordinating the onboarding process with HR team members.

·        Work closely with hiring managers to understand the specific requirements, skills, and cultural fit needed for each open position. 

·        Create and manage job ads for open positions across all platforms. Source candidates through various platforms and develop a good pipeline of candidates.

·        Screen candidates to assess qualifications and suitability for open positions. Recommend top candidates to hiring managers for next steps. Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, as requested, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

·        Collaborate administering assessments to evaluate skills and abilities.

·        Build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates, provide updates to candidates on their application status and answer questions.

·        Maintain accurate records of candidates using the applicant tracking system (ATS) and update the ATS as applicable.

·        Train managers in the recruiting process to ensure consistent hiring practices.

·        Provide data driven insights to improve recruitment strategies and monitor metrics.

·        Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.

·        Assist with additional duties, responsibilities and projects as requested.

 

Qualifications

·    High School Diploma or equivalent is required

·     Prior experience in Recruiting with knowledge of the screening, interviewing, and hiring process is highly preferred

·    Proven success in conducting interviews using various methods (phone, video, email, in person)

·    Familiarity with job boards and computer systems designed specifically for Recruiting

·    Good computer skills and thorough knowledge of MS Office

·    Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills

·    Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking

·    Self-sufficient and comfortable working independently
