Key Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, you will:

  • Carefully review legal documents and accurately set up electronic files
  • Draft trusts, wills, and other estate planning documents
  • Prepare probate petitions, guardianship, and conservatorship petitions
  • Communicate with clients to verify and obtain necessary information
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of client interactions and legal proceedings in a paperless system
  • Provide compassionate and timely responses to client concerns
  • Use sound judgment to escalate urgent matters when necessary
  • Foster strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys and team members

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Education & Experience: Some college coursework required; a degree or paralegal certification is preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, Macintosh OS, and Clio; experience with Wealth Counsel and/or Elder Counsel is a plus
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
  • Problem-Solving & Initiative: A proactive mindset to assist clients and improve processes
  • Reliability & Confidentiality: A trustworthy professional who maintains strict client confidentiality
