Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Marketing/Marketing Manager to lead their external voice and client engagement strategy. This individual will be responsible for all marketing activity, content creation, PR, events, digital presence, and inbound client communication. The role blends strategic thinking with tactical execution, ideal for someone who thrives in a high-autonomy, high-accountability environment.
The successful candidate will serve as both the steward of the brand and the orchestrator of communications, ensuring clients experience the company’s values through every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s growth goals and brand positioning.
- Produce, maintain, and distribute all marketing materials, including pitch decks, fund factsheets, brochures, and website content.
- Ensure messaging consistency and accuracy across all public-facing documents.
2. Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Own the company’s social media presence (e.g. LinkedIn, X/Twitter), driving visibility, engagement, and brand alignment.
- Build and manage a digital content calendar, integrating investment insights, news, and thought leadership.
- Monitor analytics and performance, refining strategy accordingly.
3. Public Relations & Media Engagement
- Act as the media and PR lead, building relationships with journalists, managing external PR agencies, and overseeing all press activity.
- Draft press releases, op-eds, commentary, and briefing notes for interviews or speaking engagements.
- Proactively seek opportunities to elevate the company’s voice in industry conversations.
4. Events, Sponsorships & Client Engagement
- Lead planning and execution of the full events calendar: client roundtables, investor webinars, roadshows, and the company’s annual event.
- Manage all sponsorship activity, ensuring value alignment and brand representation.
- Coordinate logistics, agendas, and post-event follow-ups to maintain client engagement.
5. Inbound Client Communication & Servicing
- Serve as the first point of contact for inbound client queries — responding with clarity, professionalism, and coordination across teams.
- Work with investment and operations teams to provide timely delivery of reports, data, or commentary.
6. Marketing Data, Systems & Workflows
- Own all marketing-related systems: CRM management, asset libraries, mailing lists, compliance sign-offs, and version control.
- Develop efficient workflows for content creation, approval, and distribution.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all campaigns, communications, and performance metrics.
7. Strategic Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the investment and leadership teams to align marketing with portfolio strategy, business priorities, and market insights.
- Act as a trusted advisor on how to communicate complex investment ideas with clarity and credibility.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or client-facing roles within financial services, ideally Asset Management.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical content into clear, compelling messages.
- Proven ability to manage social media, events, and PR activity with a high degree of independence.
- Familiarity with investment concepts, fund structures, and regulatory/compliance considerations.
