The Opportunity
As Head of Department, you will take responsibility for leading the Wills & Probate team, driving performance, and supporting the continued growth of the business. You will work closely with senior leadership, oversee departmental operations, and contribute to strategic initiatives designed to expand and strengthen the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team within the Wills & Probate function
- Monitoring and managing performance metrics and KPIs
- Reporting on departmental performance to senior stakeholders
- Driving operational efficiency and service excellence
- Supporting business growth initiatives, including acquisitions and integration projects
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation
About You
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor or Lawyer with experience in Wills & Probate
- Previous experience working within a legal practice
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Commercial awareness with experience managing performance and KPIs
- Comfortable using technology and embracing modern ways of working
Desirable:
- Current or previous practising certificate
- Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions, mergers, or integration projects
