Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation (GSTF) exists to build the foundations of a society that helps everyone stay healthier for longer. For over 500 years it has been a constant in London’s ever-changing landscape, at the leading edge of health. Through their support for Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, work to improve urban health, and investment in long-term impact, GSTF are helping to create healthier, fairer communities in South London and beyond.

GSTF now seeks an exceptional Chair to succeed Susanne Given and lead their Board of Trustees. This is a rare opportunity to chair a complex and distinctive organisation that combines the characteristics of a major charitable foundation, fundraising organisation, endowment steward and urban health leader. You will guide the Foundation through its next chapter, ensuring that they continue to deliver meaningful and lasting impact for the communities that GSTF serves.

As Chair, you will provide inclusive and effective leadership to an experienced and committed Board, promoting strong governance, constructive challenge and clear decision-making. Externally, you will act as an ambassador for GSTF, building trusted relationships with partners across the NHS, philanthropy, academia, local communities and public life, while supporting their fundraising ambitions and helping to strengthen influence and reach.
