Title: Deputy CEO, Learning and Programmes
Salary: £65k-£75k
At Do it Now Now, we support Black leaders to build sustainable futures for their organisations and communities. Through capacity building activity and advocacy, we help organisations thrive in the systems in which they exist. We achieve this by working in collaboration with these organisations and designing programmes that create pathways for positive impact by providing the essential funding and resources to ensure sustainable change.
This role offers the opportunity to play a central part in shaping the future of DiNN, driving forward our Theory of Change and strategic vision in collaboration with the Directors and Senior Leadership Team.
About the Role:
A key part of the role will be leading DiNN’s learning and programme strategy. You will design and oversee a diverse calendar of events, conferences, and research-based programmes, ensuring they meet the highest external quality standards. By embedding participatory and co-design approaches, you will keep service users at the heart of delivery, champion their needs across the sector, and ensure DiNN’s programmes drive meaningful impact, insight, and organisational growth.
You will oversee service development, manage substantial budgets, and ensure strong governance and effective systems are in place to deliver on our ambitious plans. Acting as Deputy to the CEO, you will provide strategic direction, balance priorities across professional and service functions, and champion income generation to sustain and grow our impact.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven record of growing charities or social enterprises, ideally within the infrastructure support or funding space and working with underserved communities. You will have experience managing budgets of around £2m, a sound understanding of CIC governance and safeguarding, and the ability to engage effectively with local government and the wider charity sector.
You will bring strong skills in strategic planning, financial management, organisational development, risk awareness and relationship building. A confident communicator with presence and influence, you will work effectively with diverse stakeholders and drive organisational change.
Lived experience of, or direct work within, issues of racial discrimination and inequality is essential, alongside a passion for placing service users at the heart of our work. With creativity, resilience and a ‘can do’ approach, you will champion learning, uphold DiNN’s values, and demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity and continuous development.
