The Road Safety Trust is looking for an exceptional Chair to help shape its next chapter as the UK’s leading independent funder of road safety research and innovation.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a purposeful, evidence-led charity working at the heart of road safety, mobility, policing, policy, and public protection. You will provide clear strategic leadership to the Board, support and challenge the Chief Executive, and help strengthen the Trust’s influence and impact across the sector.

We are seeking a proven Board leader with Chair experience, strong governance judgement, financial awareness, and the ability to bring people together around a shared mission. You may bring expertise from road safety, transport, policing, government, regulation, public protection, or another complex public interest environment.

Calm, credible and collaborative, you will lead with integrity, independence, and purpose — championing inclusive governance and helping the Trust turn evidence into action.
