Age UK believes every older person should be valued and included. We’re working locally, nationally and internationally to change the way we age.
Together with our partners, we’re changing the day-to-day experience of getting older through essential services and local support. We deliver vital services to older people both nationally and through our local Age UKs. We’re an expert voice on ageing, and outside the UK, our sister charity Age International is changing the global situation for older people. So we are the Age UK Network; a collaboration of local, national, and international partners, all working towards a shared vision and future for older people.
This is a crucial time for older people. Covid still casts a long shadow and the cost-of-living crisis has left many older people with impossible choices. The growing challenges facing the NHS and the social care system and now the changes to Winter Fuel Payments mean that this winter will be incredibly hard for millions of older people. Longer term, issues such as an ageing population, ageism, and healthy ageing all demand attention.
All of these are big challenges – and this is where we at Age UK come in. We have launched our new strategy - Let’s Change How We Age. Our ambitions are significant and we need to grow our resources equally significantly to match that ambition.
To help us to achieve our aims, we have created a new role in our senior leadership team; Chief Income Generation Officer. In this critical role, you will be responsible for our Fundraising, Retail, and our commercial arm Age Co, which collectively raise around £120 million every year. We want to bring together our collective efforts to one single income generation strategy, with a sustainable model and effective framework for growth.
We therefore are seeking an experienced, influential leader with a track record of leading the development of, creating, proving, and operationalising successful income generation strategies. You will have proven experience of leading growth across multiple channels and diverse stakeholders, where a portfolio of income streams has been maximised.
Our new Chief Income Generation Officer needs to be passionate about our mission and values. We need a leader who is inspiring and credible. A leader who is engaging, motivational and inclusive.
