Apply for this job

Salary: £45,000 circa

In 1995, inspired by her father's inability to read, the music icon, entertainer, and philanthropist Dolly Parton launched her Imagination Library to foster an early love of reading in her hometown by gifting high-quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five at no cost to their families. Today, the international programme operates in five countries: the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland.

The Dollywood Foundation UK was established as a charity in 2007 and operates as one of the international divisions of the US-based Dollywood Foundation. Since 2008, the Dollywood Foundation UK has worked with community partners and sponsors to bring the Imagination Library to children in all four UK nations and the Republic of Ireland since 2019.

We seek a new Regional Director for Scotland to expand and support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Within Scotland, the Regional Director will replicate, launch, and grow Imagination Library programmes, coach local partners to sustain existing community projects, and strategically curate and manage local authority-wide initiatives. You will be a passionate, outstanding leader who thrives on the opportunity to advance Dolly’s mission to deliver more books to children.
