Summit Search Group has partnered with Kroczynski & Kroczynski Law on the search for their next Legal Assistant/ Paralegal. Kroczynski & Kroczynski Law is a Regina-based law firm specializing in foreclosure and real estate law. The firm acts as designated counsel for several of Canada’s largest financial institutions and maintains a substantial active caseload. Although compact in size, the firm operates with the scale and sophistication of a much larger practice. The firm delegates responsibility to its staff and places a high value on autonomy and accountability.
The Position:

As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal, you'll play a key role in supporting a busy legal practice with a focus on real estate, conveyancing, foreclosure, and debt recovery matters. This position offers a dynamic and engaging workload through managing multiple files, preparing legal documentation, coordinating Court filings and registrations, and keeping transactions progressing efficiently. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, strong analytical and computer skills, and the ability to confidently prioritize competing deadlines while delivering outstanding service to both clients and colleagues.
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan- In office
Key Responsibilities:
Real Estate Duties
• All aspects of real estate transactions, including receive and coordinate Offers to Purchase, communicate with interested parties including Real Estate Agents and Counsel for buyers, manage deadlines and prepare documentation for sale closing, disburse funds from sale, navigate and use Saskatchewan Land Registry system.
Court Documents and Filings
• Prepare a broad range of Court documents, including Notices, Applications and Court Orders, Statements of Claim, and Judgments.
• Coordinate and oversee service of necessary documents, and filing same with Local Registrar’s Office.
Registrations and Searches
• Conduct registrations, discharges of interests, and searches through Information Services Corporation (ISC).
• Strong computer and analytical skills are required to support this work.
Administrative Duties
• Maintain daily records through electronic filing.
• Monitor limitation periods, diarizations, and Court deadlines.
• Communicate with various Government offices.
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing workloads in a busy, demanding environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise correspondence and documentation.
• Strong proofreading skills.
• A positive demeanor, excellent interpersonal and client service skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Dependability, confidence, and initiative, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Professionalism and respect in all communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Previous legal experience is considered an asset but is not required. Strong character, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure are essential.
