Summit Search Group is excited to partner with our client, Pitura Seeds, in the search for a Plant Operator to join their growing team in Domain, MB.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Plant Operator will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Pitura’s state-of-the-art seed cleaning facilities. This is a hands-on role working with modern equipment, providing customer service at the plant, and supporting daily production operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate advanced seed cleaning and treating equipment.
  • Safely move grain with semitrailers and operate tractors, conveyors, augers, and related equipment.
  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and assist with unscheduled breakdowns.
  • Support customers at the plant during product pickup.
  • Handle bagging (50 lbs), bulk toting, and container loading.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment, including yard and building upkeep.
  • Support field operations (e.g., cultivation, ditching, harvesting) as required.
  • Complete required documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (CGC-HACCP, GMP, SOPs).


Our Ideal Candidate

  • Class 5 driver’s license required; forklift experience an asset.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, and quality.
