The Position:

Summit Search Group has been retained by SolutionAir on the recruitment of their next CAD Administrator. Summit Search Group is currently seeking a skilled and proactive CAD Administrator to support and optimize our engineering and design infrastructure. This position plays a critical role in enhancing productivity and maintaining the efficiency of our design tools and systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SolidWorks and PDM environments and be passionate about driving automation, training, and data integrity across engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Administer and support the use of SolidWorks 3D, SolidWorks Electrical, PDM, and DriveWorks to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Lead SolidWorks training programs, update internal best practices, and guide team members in adopting new features and standards.
• Expand and maintain the SolidWorks PDM/ECN system, ensuring data accuracy, effective user access control, and optimized workflows.
• Drive development of design automation tools, including macros and process enhancements, to streamline workflows and increase engineering efficiency.
• Partner with IT to maintain and upgrade CAD/PDM server infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Maintain current SolidWorks certifications and stay informed about the latest software features, sharing knowledge with the broader team.
• Support document control processes and enforce CAD data standards to maintain consistency across projects.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in mechanical design, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Professional.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, support, and mentor team members in CAD software and systems.
• Strong understanding of CAD workflows and automation, with experience developing macros and custom tools.
