The Position:
Summit Search Group has partnered with CPAWS Manitoba on the search for a creative, energetic and digitally savvy Social Media and Creative Content Specialist to help bring our conservation work to life online.
Working as part of the Communications team, this hands-on role will focus on creating engaging, visually compelling social media content that grows our audience, increases engagement and inspires people to care about and take action for nature. The ideal candidate is creative, charismatic and comfortable working across different social media platforms. They will have a strong eye for design and branding, experience creating graphics and video, and an understanding of how to adapt content for different audiences and platforms. As one of the primary public faces of CPAWS Manitoba, this individual will also be comfortable appearing on camera, interacting with the public and bringing enthusiasm and personality to our digital presence. Working within CPAWS Manitoba’s broader communications and social media strategy, they will collaborate closely with the Communications Manager and other staff to turn organizational priorities, campaigns and conservation stories into engaging day-to-day content. As part of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS), a national conservation organization with chapters across the country, this role will also have opportunities to connect with communications professionals across Canada, share ideas and best practices, and collaborate on national campaigns and initiatives.

Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience
· Experience creating engaging social media content, particularly for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
· Experience tracking and interpreting social media analytics and using data and insights to optimize content and improve engagement, including A/B testing to understand what resonates with audiences.
· Experience creating social media graphics, carousels and other digital assets, with strong graphic design skills considered a significant asset.
· Experience using Canva to create professional, polished and on-brand content.
· A strong eye for design, visual storytelling, branding and consistency.
· Familiarity with video editing tools and techniques, including captions, audio, transitions and formatting for social platforms.
· Enthusiasm and confidence appearing and speaking on camera.
· Strong understanding of what makes social media content engaging, accessible and shareable.
· Ability to work within an established communications strategy and brand while bringing creativity and new ideas.
· Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different platforms and audiences.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pieces of content and deadlines simultaneously.
· An interest in nature, conservation, environmental education or community engagement is considered an asset.
