The Senior Sales Executive, Public Cloud is a hunter-focused sales professional responsible for driving net-new revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities within the public cloud space, with an emphasis on clients operating in or migrating to AWS and Azure environments. This role requires an established network of relationships across the public cloud ecosystem, deep knowledge of cloud platforms and services, and a consistent track record of exceeding new-logo sales targets. The Senior Sales Executive builds strong client relationships, articulates the company's value proposition within the cloud market, and contributes to the overall success and growth of the sales team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proactively prospects, identifies, and initiates contact with net-new target clients within the public cloud (AWS and Azure) space; owns the full-cycle hunting motion from first outreach to close.
- Articulates the value proposition and competitive differentiation of company services to senior technology decision-makers (e.g., CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering/Infrastructure) evaluating AWS and Azure solutions.
- Leverages an established personal network of contacts across the AWS and Azure partner, reseller, and customer ecosystems to generate new pipeline and open doors with net-new prospects.
- Strives to understand each prospect's public cloud infrastructure, priorities, and pain points, and tailors solutions to meet their business and technical needs.
- Negotiates service terms with clients in a professional and effective manner; addresses all objectives and concerns to meet client expectations.
- Meets or exceeds aggressive new-logo sales targets and quotas focused on net-new client acquisition.
- Develops and executes territory and account-based hunting strategies to achieve and exceed net-new revenue goals within the public cloud market.
- Maintains accurate and organized records of all sales activities, opportunities, and client interaction.
- Generates and presents regular reports on sales performance.
- Collaborates with multiple departments to ensure a cohesive client experience.
- Builds and maintains relationships with AWS and Azure alliance/partner teams to identify co-sell opportunities and accelerate net-new pipeline generation.
- Provides exceptional client service throughout the entirety of the sales process.
- Actively attends and participates in AWS re:Invent, Microsoft Ignite, and other public cloud industry events, partner functions, and community gatherings to expand professional network and generate new leads.

- Proven "hunter" mentality with a demonstrated track record of consistently sourcing and closing net-new logos, rather than primarily managing existing accounts.
- Familiarity with cloud marketplace transactions, co-sell/alliance motions, and partner-sourced pipeline preferred.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, information technology, or a related field; or commensurate sales experience.
- AWS and/or Azure sales, partner, or technical certifications strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years' quota-carrying, net-new sales experience required, with a significant portion selling into, alongside, or in partnership with the AWS and/or Azure ecosystems.
- Extensive knowledge of the public cloud industry, competitive landscape, and complex, consultative enterprise sales strategies.
- Demonstrated history of consistently meeting or exceeding new-business sales quotas, along with an established, portable network of relationships within the public cloud community.
