Senior Project Manager – Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE

Role Overview
Seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-visibility Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and Power Platform implementation for a large State & Local Government agency. This role owns the end-to-end delivery of a new D365 CE/Power Platform solution and the decommissioning of an existing Pega system, working closely with onshore and offshore teams toward a December go-live.
We need a go‑getter who builds strong relationships, drives governance and structure, and is fully transparent about risks and issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solution for a State & Local Government agency (case management, call center, portals/Power Pages).
- Own planning, execution, risk/issue management, and go-live, including cutover and Pega decommissioning.
- Establish and run governance: schedules, RAID logs, change control, and executive status reporting.
- Serve as primary day-to-day contact for the client, building trust with business and IT stakeholders.
- Coordinate onshore/offshore resources and work closely with Delivery Architect and internal FTEs.
- Anticipate and manage data migration risks from years of legacy data.
- Support UAT, training, and change management to drive user adoption.
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT project management, including 3–5 years with CRM (ideally Dynamics 365 CE/CRM).
- Experience delivering complex CRM/case management for public sector or similar environments.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Dynamics 365 CE
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate)
- Large-scale data migration from legacy systems
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to run structured governance and report clearly to executives.
- Experience working with global (onshore/offshore) delivery teams.
- Must be available 8:00am–4:00pm PST and go onsite weekly.
Nice to Have
- Public sector program experience
- PMP/PRINCE2 or similar certification.
- Experience in a mid-sized, high-growth consulting/IT services firm.
