Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scrum Master to champion Agile practices and drive the successful delivery of key initiatives. While this role will initially focus on our strategic client reporting modernization project, it offers the long-term opportunity to lead a variety of projects across the Client Service landscape.
We are looking for an experienced candidate who can foster a collaborative and high-performing environment. You will be responsible for guiding a cross-functional team, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and removing impediments. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the way our Client Service department delivers value to the business and our clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring they are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
- Proactively identify, track, and help the team remove impediments or obstacles that are preventing them from achieving their Sprint Goals.
- Foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement, using metrics like velocity and burndown charts to help the team inspect and adapt.
- Coach the team on Agile and Scrum principles, helping them to adopt and mature their practices.
- Assist the Product Owner with backlog management, ensuring the product backlog is well-defined, estimated, and prioritized to maximize value.
- Promote strong collaboration and communication between the Scrum team and all stakeholders, including business leaders in Client Service, IT, and Client Investment Data Team.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a Scrum Master role.
- 5 years of experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar Agile certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience guiding teams through the adoption and practice of Agile/Scrum principles in a practical, effective way.
- Experience in the financial services or investment management industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to lead discussions and create a collaborative environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and navigate challenges.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to lead teams through ambiguity and change.
