About the Role 

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Microsoft SQL Server expert to build, optimize, and manage robust data solutions within our delivery practice. This role is central to developing on-premise data warehousing capabilities within the Microsoft SQL ecosystem. You will apply your deep technical expertise to drive data transformation initiatives, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and integrity of critical data assets through direct development and architectural leadership. 

Key Responsibilities 

You will deliver technical excellence by: 

• Designing & Implementing Data Warehouses: Leading the hands-on technical design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data warehousing solutions directly on Microsoft SQL Server. This includes developing and optimizing database schemas, tables, indexes, and other critical database objects. 
• SSIS Development & Optimization: Expertly developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), ensuring data quality and efficiency across the data pipeline. 
• Expert SQL/T-SQL Coding: Writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting advanced SQL and T-SQL queries, views, user-defined functions, and highly efficient stored procedures for data manipulation, integration, and complex business logic. 
• Designing and implementing robust SQL integration solutions to connect disparate data sources and targets within the Microsoft stack. 
• Extensive hands-on experience in writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex stored procedures within Microsoft SQL Server for data transformation, business logic, and ETL orchestration. 
• Database Projects: Managing data warehouse definitions and source code using tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines to conduct development, testing, and production deployment. 
•  Working closely with BI and other IT teams potentially mentoring junior developers. 
• Act as a key client partner, building long-term relationships grounded in trust and shared success 
• Provide strategic recommendations to clients, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business value

Minimum Requirements 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and database engineering, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server. 
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), including design, development, optimization, and deployment of complex packages. 
• Demonstrable expertise in SQL and T-SQL programming, including advanced queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. 
• Proven experience managing database development projects. 
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling) and ETL/ELT methodologies. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
