Overview

We are seeking a Data Analytics Specialist to support a high-visibility analytics initiative tied to a Department of Veterans Affairs program. This role sits at the intersection of product, UX, and data engineering.

You will not just build dashboards. You will translate behavioral data into product and UX decisions that drive measurable outcomes.

This is a remote role. This does require US Citizenship working with the government.

What You Will Do

• Partner closely with UX and product teams to define metrics that measure user behavior and engagement

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau and Adobe Analytics

• Analyze large-scale datasets to uncover trends, behavioral patterns, and performance opportunities

• Write advanced SQL queries across high-volume event and transactional datasets

• Use Python for data manipulation, automation, and exploratory analysis

• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks

• Build and maintain data models that support repeatable insights

• Monitor application and behavioral data, with exposure to tools such as DataDog

• Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with qualitative and quantitative data in a strategic decision-making environment

• Hands-on experience with Google Analytics in enterprise settings

• Familiarity with DataDog for monitoring or performance analysis

• Advanced SQL skills including complex joins, aggregations, window functions, and performance optimization

• Python experience for data analysis or automation

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or recent experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs

• Strong Tableau dashboard development experience and experience with Adobe Analytics

• Experience in federal or highly regulated environments

• Experience working with large-scale user behavioral or product analytics datasets

• Experience collaborating directly with UX or product design teams
