Senior Program Manager, AI Factory Tiger Team
Level: Senior Program Manager / Senior Project Manager
Location: Flexible / Remote
Travel: Up to 60% international travel; individual trips may be up to three weeks
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager / Senior Project Manager to join our AI Infrastructure Tiger Team and support the successful launch of complex, large-scale AI Factory and data center deployments.
This is a highly hands-on delivery role for someone who has personally led the early stages of large on-site infrastructure, data center, HPC, or field deployment programs.
As part of the Tiger Team, you will enter new deployment sites shortly before construction or installation begins, establish program governance and reporting, train the incoming project team, ensure delivery processes are operating effectively, and transition the program to the permanent delivery team after the initial ramp-up period.
You will move between deployment sites, bringing consistency, operational discipline, and lessons learned from one deployment to the next.
This is not an oversight-only position. We are looking for someone who has personally worked through the messy first weeks of complex deployments and knows how to establish structure, train teams, manage stakeholders, and drive execution under pressure.
What You'll Do
Before the Build Starts
- Establish the governance and reporting structure before site activities begin.
- Set up daily reporting, gate evidence, RAID logs, decision logs, escalation paths, and program tracking.
- Roll out standardized SOPs, receiving procedures, and delivery processes consistently across sites.
- Establish and maintain visibility into material issues, including DOA, RMA, and expedite tracking.
- Ensure the project team understands delivery expectations, governance requirements, and escalation processes before execution begins.
Train and Ramp the Project Team
- Personally train incoming project team members on the PMO track of the delivery curriculum.
- Work directly with employees, contractors, partners, and project staff in a live delivery environment.
- Confirm that team members have understood and can independently execute required processes.
- Track training completion and readiness before individuals take ownership of live reporting or gate evidence.
- Coach the permanent Program Manager through their initial project gates, customer meetings, and status reviews.
- Teach and coach rather than taking ownership away from the permanent team.
Drive the Transition and Handoff
- Work alongside the permanent project team from day one.
- Ensure the customer relationship and delivery ownership remain with the permanent team.
- Transition governance, reporting, documentation, and operational knowledge to the permanent Program Manager after the initial ramp-up period.
- Complete a structured and documented handoff without requiring an extended Tiger Team presence.
- Identify and escalate delivery risks early when a site begins to drift.
- Support hybrid deployments through regular review of reporting, evidence, and site readiness, including travel when required.
Improve the Delivery Model
- Capture lessons learned from each deployment and feed them back into SOPs, training materials, reporting templates, and the broader delivery curriculum.
- Participate in Tiger Team retrospectives and training sessions between deployment waves.
- Help develop future Tiger Team members through shadowing, coaching, and knowledge transfer.
- Identify opportunities to improve consistency, reduce rework, and strengthen deployment readiness across sites.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
-
8+ years of experience in program or project management.
- At least 5 years leading on-site delivery of large infrastructure, data center, field deployment, HPC, or similar complex programs.
- Proven experience personally leading multiple sites from kickoff through handoff, including the critical first few weeks of deployment.
- Experience managing mixed delivery teams consisting of employees, contractors, partners, and customer stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience training and ramping project staff in a live delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of program governance, reporting, evidence management, SOP implementation, gate readiness, and escalation management.
- Experience managing operational issues such as receiving discrepancies, DOA/RMA processes, material delays, expedites, and site readiness.
- Ability to establish credibility quickly with senior project managers, customer stakeholders, technical teams, and partner leadership.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working in high-pressure, rapidly changing deployment environments.
- Willingness to travel internationally on short notice, including extended site assignments of up to three weeks.
- Availability to support active deployment starts during peak periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI Factory, NVIDIA DGX, NVL, GPU infrastructure, or similar AI infrastructure deployments.
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure deployment methodologies or relevant training curricula.
- Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center build-outs.
- Experience with HPC cluster deployments or large-scale compute infrastructure.
- Experience managing large, multisite technology refresh or field deployment programs.
- International delivery experience, particularly across EMEA, APAC, or ANZ.
- PMP or equivalent program/project management certification.
- Experience as a multisite bootcamp instructor, trainer, or program mentor.
- Experience being the first program/project leader into a new site, customer environment, or deployment program.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means:
- Governance, reporting, and evidence are operational before the build begins.
- Project staff are trained, validated, and ready to own their responsibilities.
- The permanent Program Manager can independently run the deployment following handoff.
- Risks, defects, and potential rework are identified during setup rather than at critical delivery gates.
- Site teams operate consistently against established SOPs and delivery standards.
- Customer and partner relationships remain strong throughout the transition.
- Lessons learned from each deployment improve the next one.
- You remain calm under pressure, make timely decisions, escalate early, and prioritize developing the team rather than taking over their responsibilities.
First 30 Days
During your first 30 days, you will:
- Complete the required AI infrastructure and delivery curriculum.
- Shadow an experienced team on a live deployment.
- Participate in a live site launch and progressively take ownership of the PMO track.
- Establish governance and reporting before the start of site activities.
- Train and validate the incoming project team.
- Complete a structured handoff to the permanent Program Manager.
- Identify and implement at least two improvements to the delivery curriculum, SOPs, or reporting processes based on your field experience.
Why Join This Team?
This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of AI infrastructure deployment, helping establish repeatable delivery practices for complex, high-performance computing environments.
You will work across multiple deployments, influence how large-scale AI infrastructure programs are delivered, and have a direct impact on building the next generation of deployment talent and processes.
If you are a hands-on senior program leader who thrives in complex field environments, knows how to bring structure to new deployments, and enjoys developing teams while delivering under pressure, we'd like to hear from you.
