Are you limited by product offerings, territory constraints, or shifting employment agreements?

Open to an opportunity to own your crop insurance book without a non-compete?

Open to leaving your current employment situation, but not sure about navigating the legal waters?

Are you motivated by doing the same amount of work, but being paid double for it?

Maybe you’re leaving or retiring and want to be paid appropriately for your book?

If any of this appeals to you, please consider having a brief conversation with us to see if this opportunity might have potential. It can be scary to consider leaving your current situation, given today’s legal landscape. It can also be frustrating to consider leaving the business or retiring and not really owning your book.

Our client was founded on the premise that agents should own their books and to provide a rock solid support team behind them. Today, they write with all the top Approved Insurance Providers in the nation, licensed in 37 states and growing. Prior to starting the company, the founders  were agricultural lenders, combining over 100 years of insurance and banking backgrounds.

With this experience in tow, the company is passionate about the importance of crop insurance to the American farmer. Over the years they have become experts in helping agents break free from their current restraints, while providing the necessary support along every step of the process.

If you are in crop insurance sales and consultation today and enjoy the business you’ve built, let’s talk about how we can help you do what you do best--finding, pitching, and servicing farmers with the right product mix. Perhaps you’re considering retirement? Our client can help with that as well as any agencies looking to sell their existing book of crop insurance business.

THE ROLE:

We’re searching for one of three profiles:

  1. Established Crop Insurance professionals who are open to making a change from where they are employed. Those who aspire to develop and grow their own book.
  2. Retiring Crop Insurance professionals. If you are nearing or considering retiring, let’s talk about a realistic transition that pays you what’s fair for what you’ve built.
  3. Agency owners looking to sell a portion, or all, of their current crop insurance book.

Our client has experience helping agents transition from their current employment, successfully navigating the maze of legalities, time and time again. They can also help structure a retirement plan, based on your needs and wants for transitioning your business. If you are an agency owner and simply are looking to exit the business, our client can help with that as well.

In a nut shell, our client provides back-office tools and support to help agents stay focused on their customers. They also offer a very generous compensation structure, without a non-compete. There are no territory limits or boundaries. Unlimited earnings potential, plus profit sharing after appropriate thresholds. First year compensation, negotiable. Agency contracts with 10 of the 13 National Underwriters, giving you access to all products available to independent agents. Here’s a few bullet points:

  • No territory limits or boundaries exist for the agent.
  • Access to products: Agency contracts are in place with 10 of the 13 National Underwriters, giving you access to all products available to independent agents (the entire toolkit!). Additional private products are available.
  • Focus on your customer: Back-office tools to help stay focused on your customers.
  • Operational efficiency: The company is extremely efficient and organized at every process of the crop insurance policy cycle.
  • Core responsibilities: This role requires the agent to be self-motivated, possess a sound understanding of insurance and risk management related to crop production, and have clear communication skills to explain policy details to clients. Agents must accurately complete policy forms and get client signatures within the mandatory industry deadlines.
  • Client Engagement: You will need the self-confidence to make cold calls, hold presentations about various products to farmers in rural areas, and utilize analytical skills to evaluate client information and production activities to determine the right policy.
  • Support & Documentation: Our client handles the E&O policy, website, phone, etc.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Generous Commission Structure
  • Profit Sharing (at certain book size thresholds)
  • Transition Support (negotiable)
  • Backoffice/Expenses/Support staff
  • Benefits: (Medical, dental, vision, vehicle, etc.)
