CONTROLLER
Full-Time |Financial Role

SN is assisting our client to find an operationally engaged financial leader for their firm. In this role, the Controller serves as a strategic leader overseeing all core financial functions, including cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Role includes light supervisory responsibilities, working closely with internal finance team member and external partners to support operational goals.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership to deliver actionable financial insights and support informed decision-making. Ideal candidates bring a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and a drive to enhance financial processes and business performance.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and optimize cash flow and banking activities.
- Oversee monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Prepare ad hoc reports to support leadership and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate with external tax professionals to ensure compliance and support year-end filings.
- Lead the budgeting and financial planning process in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Leverage ERP tools to enhance financial workflows and data accessibility.
- Supervise expense reporting and accounts payable/receivable functions.
- Partner with HR to support payroll, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, and compliance.
- Guide and develop finance team members and manage relationships with external vendors.
- Maintain and improve financial policies and procedures.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and operational support in a collaborative, small-team environment.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 7+ years or more in corporate accounting in a professional services firm required.
- Prior Exp. in Architecture/Engineering Sector.
- Certified Public Accountant highly preferred.
- Prior experience with Unanet, Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision accounting systems critical.
- PM software exp. strongly preferred.
