Human Resource Manager


Job Role and Summary

The HR Manager implements effective human resource strategies that would align with the overall business goals. The HR Manager acts as a communication bridge between employees and executives by addressing the concerns of the employees to the management and vice versa. The HR Manager also handles the recruitment, screening, and interview processes, as well as the performance evaluation process. 


Responsibilities

·        Plans human resource strategies that could help the employees reach business objectives

·        Acts as the point of communication between the executives and employees to address their concerns and grievances properly

·        Enhances the employee’s human capital to support the present and future business needs

·        Nurtures a collaborative, impartial, and positive working environment at all times

·        Establishes performance appraisal systems

·        Copes with the regulated pay plans and benefit programs for employees

·        Observes training sessions and provides the necessary training supplies

·        Evaluates the performance of employees and comes up with impartial judgments adhering to the HR metrics

·        Overseas bi-monthly payroll process

·        Ensures that each position has a clear job description

·        Stays up to date on discrimination laws

·        Stays up to date on California (and other states’) labor laws

·        Travels to warehouse in California periodically


Skills

·        Knowledgeable of labor laws, HR practices, and other elements related to human resource management;

·        Knowledge of discrimination laws

·        Knowledgeable of California labor laws

·        Good interpersonal skills, people-oriented, and results-driven to prioritize the employee’s well-being

·        Superior leadership skills and the ability to generate and implement effective strategies

·        Capable of listening, understanding, and negotiating with employees to come up with impartial judgments according to the HR metrics

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay information effectively to ethe employees and management

·        Strong managerial and interpersonal skills for implementing professional relationships across different levels in the company

·        Ability to handle potential and actual employee-related law suits and/or arbitration.

·        Spanish a plus

·        Mandarin a plus
