With a team of approximately 100 dedicated employees, they are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support our growing organization.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will play a critical role in fostering a compliant, efficient, and employee-focused HR function. This role will be responsible for enhancing our onboarding process, administering compliance training programs, and serving as the primary point of contact for all employee HR-related needs. The ideal candidate is SHRM certified and brings strong knowledge of HR best practices within fast-paced, customer service-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding & Orientation
- Develop and lead a comprehensive onboarding program that ensures new hires feel welcomed, prepared, and aligned with company values.
- Coordinate new hire paperwork, background checks, and orientation schedules.
- Partner with department managers to tailor onboarding experiences for each role.
- Employee Relations & Support
- Act as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related requests.
- Provide timely guidance and resolution of employee issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Foster positive employee relations and assist in conflict resolution and performance management.
- Compliance & Training
- Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Plan and implement regular compliance training (e.g., harassment prevention, workplace safety, ethics).
- Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies as needed.
- HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Support payroll, benefits administration, and open enrollment processes in collaboration with finance or benefits providers.
- Track HR metrics and prepare reports for leadership as needed.
Qualifications
- PHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in retail, dealership, or hospitality environments
- Strong understanding of HR laws, policies, and best practices
- Proven ability to improve onboarding and training processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office
