Our client is a well-established manufacturer that sells their unique products primarily through online sales. They are seeking a leader for sales and marketing efforts to maximize the opportunity and update the sales process. The Marketing Director will report to the CEO.
The Marketing Director develops marketing plans and directs the implementation of the e-commerce vision and strategy for achieving corporate sales goals. Oversees digital marketing efforts geared to grow business, increase customer engagement, promote products and optimize online experience.
Being an e-commerce Marketing Director utilizes messaging, best sellers, promotions, discounts, user reviews and email campaigns to attract and retain customers. Deploys SEO tools and methods to ensure e-commerce website is optimized for searching and performance responsiveness as well as delivering visual appeal and compelling content. Additionally, e-commerce Marketing Director tracks and measures program effectiveness to drive improvement or develop new offerings.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for developing short-term and long-term objectives, customer metrics, and overall performance.
· Develop and implement strategies to increase web site conversion rates, average order size, customer profitability, customer retention, site traffic and reduce cart abandonment rates
· Provide a personalized online experience based on behaviors, actions and segmentation- one that is truly representative of our position as the leader in the category
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, business or a similar field
· 5+ years of marketing experience in an e-commerce environment
· Management experience
· Google Analytics or other Ecommerce technologies
· Google Ads Certification
· Commitment to staying informed about industry trends, updates and new features
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong project management and multitasking ability
