This position owns the full accounting function for both entities — from daily transactional operations through monthly close, financial reporting, and audit management — while maintaining strong alignment with the German headquarters on KPIs, intercompany reconciliations, and strategic financial planning.

This role is ideally suited for an experienced accounting professional with a strong US GAAP foundation, manufacturing or production environment exposure, and the hands-on mindset to work effectively in a mid-size, fast-paced industrial organization with German ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

•    Prepare and deliver all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, intercompany reconciliations, and analytical reports tailored to various audiences

•    Manage the general ledger, journal entry postings, payroll entries, and accruals

•    Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

•    Lead monthly close cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all period-end processes

•    Maintain comprehensive internal controls designed to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with US GAAP

Banking, Cash & Tax

•    Manage all banking transactions, banking approvals, cash management, and cash flow oversight

•    Authorize and sign checks; serve as primary signatory for financial transactions

•    Handle Sales and Use Tax reporting and filing across all applicable jurisdictions

Audit, Compliance & HQ Interface

•    Serve as primary contact for financial audits; coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to provide required documentation

•    Collaborate with the German headquarters on financial matters, including month-end KPI reporting, intercompany balances, and group reporting requirements

•    Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements across both entities

Production Finance & Strategic Support

•    Gather and analyze production key figures; support manufacturing cost analysis and variance reporting

•    Support inventory management, valuation, and related P&L impact analysis (experience in inventory development and valuation a plus)

•    Contribute to commercial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a production environment

•    Participate in strategic planning together with Senior Management

Qualifications — Required

•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

•    Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience

•    Strong US GAAP knowledge and hands-on application

•    Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment

•    Proficiency with SAP FI and CO modules

•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

•    Hands-on work style with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

•    Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy

Qualifications — Preferred

•    Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

•    Experience with SAP MM (Materials Management) and PP (Production Planning) modules

•    Background in inventory development, valuation, and P&L impact analysis

•    Prior experience in a DACH-owned (German, Austrian, or Swiss) U.S. subsidiary

•    Familiarity with German reporting standards or group reporting in a multinational environment

What We Offer

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience

•    Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

•    401(k) retirement plan with company contribution

•    Paid time off and company holidays

•    Stable, growing organization with strong global backing and a long-term investment horizon

•    A collaborative environment that bridges German engineering culture with American business practice
