Corporate Communications—Level 5
(U) Overall Assignment Description: Supports IA by drafting talking points, briefings, and other communications products intended for both internal and external NGA audiences.
(U) Duties include:
• (U) Assists IA Leadership with their strategic communications to both international partners and the IA workforce.
• (U) Coordinates all IA related themes/talking points related to NGA communications (e.g. NGA Top 6 speeches/briefings, GEOINT Symposium or other GEOINT conferences, Strategic Program Brief, and any other fora where NGA international partnerships is a topic.
• (U) Ensures consistent themes and talking points for NGA and IA Senior Leadership engagements with other NGA elements, the IC, and the broader Global GEOINT Enterprise.
• (U) Reviews all IA strategic communications (WAR, IA Weekly, YESFORN NOTE, etc) prior to IA leadership release.
• (U) Compiles summary notes, actions items etc. for IA planning events (e.g. IA Vertical Cut, IA Leaders Offsite).
• (U) Develops or recommends various communication tools to IA Leadership to maintain a consistent message theme and improve transparency in IA Leadership decision making.
(U) Skills and Experience:
(U) Required
• (U) Demonstrated experience leading the strategic development of communications programs based on corporate communications concepts, practices, and application; analyze metrics, monitor, evaluate, and report on organizational business functions.
• (U) Demonstrated experience in implementing actionable and targeted strategic communications plans and messaging – such as stakeholder analysis, change management strategies, organizational readiness, and training plans.
• (U) Demonstrated experience aligning strategic communications initiatives and activities with overall program plans, objectives, and timelines.
• (U) Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing strategic communications plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
• (U) Demonstrated experience advising senior executives on recommended communications improvement, change management, and other related program implementation activities.
(U) Desired Skills:
• (U) Demonstrated experience in applying knowledge and understanding of international affairs and partner engagements.
• (U) Demonstrated experience in facilitating discussions, surveys, focus groups, workshops, etc. to understand stakeholder needs, gather input for assessments, and articulate change vision and objectives.
