SISP Position 31: Security Specialist, Skill Level 3 (NGA Washington DC)


Overall Assignment Description: Continuous Evaluation/Continuous Vetting (CE/CV) Case Control


Duties include:

• (U) Manage, triage, and assign cases from PeopleSoft Electronic Reporting (eReport), polygraph referrals, emails, internal/external referrals, DNI CE alerts, EAFR, RapBack, and walk-in notification

• (U) Validate, research, review, create reportables, create cases, and forward to personnel security specialist-Investigators, all reportable information from employees and contractors meeting timelines established by the government (SISP)

• (U) Track and Report Electronic Alerts (eAlerts) in metric format per established format

• (U) Provide support to established CE/CV PERSEC Program

• (U) Provide service excellence in guidance and resolution to internal and external customers’ questions and inquiries in a timely manner for support to their programs

• (U) Utilizes a variety of security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and recommend solutions for difficult and complex security issues

• (U) Document and provide Weekly Activity Report (WAR) actions in the SISP designated template and timeline to the Government Team Lead

• (U) Assist the government SISPV team to help in developing recommendations for improvement

• (U) Prepare, write, and present reports/whitepapers, various forms of correspondence, as required

• (U) Provide positive, well-communicated responses and closure of all customer inquiries

• (U) Document, file, and maintain all actions in the personnel security systems of record (PeopleSoft or its successor)

• (U) Direct all incoming documentation to the appropriate person or database within three business days of receipt

• (U) Deliver priority messages based on urgency

• (U) Capture details of all actions within the appropriate PeopleSoft security modules


Skills and Experience

Required:

• (U) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

• (U) Minimum 7-10 years experience

• (U) Clear and concise writing skills

• Positive, engaging communication skills

• (U) Excellent organizational skills to achieve required timelines

• (U) General understanding/application of the Personnel Security discipline


Desired:

Efficient in office software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, etc.)
