Position Overview
We are seeking a CDL Class A Driver / Applicator to support field operations through safe transportation and application of materials. This role combines driving, equipment operation, and hands-on fieldwork, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and customer service.
This is a high-travel position (up to 90%), supporting regional projects and requiring flexibility with schedule and hours.
What You’ll Do
- Operate CDL Class A vehicles including truck and tractor combinations
- Safely transport and apply liquid and dry materials using onboard systems
- Operate computerized application equipment (rate calculations, blending, adjustments)
- Load and unload trucks, tanks, railcars, and other containers
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment (pumps, tanks, meters, etc.)
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate with dispatch and leadership
- Follow all DOT regulations, ELD usage, and safety protocols
- Support plant operations or additional duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain endorsements: Tanker, Doubles/Triples, Air Brakes
- 2+ years operating DOT-regulated vehicles
- Experience with manual transmission
- Experience driving in winter and/or mountain conditions
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol screening
- Comfortable using ELD systems and basic mobile technology
Work Environment
- Mix of on-the-road and plant environments
- Exposure to weather conditions and chemicals
- Physical role (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, standing for long periods)
- May require nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call work
