HR Director - Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee Claims & Risk Programs: Manage unemployment and workers’ compensation processes, including claims tracking, reporting, compliance (OSHA), and return-to-work coordination.
  • Drive Employee Engagement: Monitor engagement survey results, partner with HR Managers on follow-up actions, and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Provide Employee Relations Guidance: Advise leaders on policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation to support a positive and compliant workplace.
  • Support Performance Management: Guide supervisors on evaluations, corrective actions, and disciplinary processes, including review and approval coordination.
  • Employee Benefits Expertise: Leverage extensive knowledge of employee benefits programs and strategies to support organizational goals and employee needs.
  • Ensure Compliance & Lead HR Initiatives: Maintain compliance with licensure and regulatory requirements while supporting training, compensation, and other key HR projects.


Required Education:                                  Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university

Required Experience:                              5 years’ professional human resources experience; 2 years’ experience in healthcare

Preferred Experience:                                Nonprofit; senior living or long-term care sector
