HR Assistant:


The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing assistance in the operations of the Human Resources:


1. Assists in hiring and general orientation of new employees including but not limited to preparing new hire packets, providing facility tours, issuing name badges, and training on use of the time clock.

2. Assists with distribution of benefit enrollment materials to eligible employees.

3. Administers drug screening as directed and in accordance with the organization’s Substance Abuse Screening Policy.

4. Maintains employee personnel files in accordance with federal and state law.

5. Assists with processing the bi-weekly payroll as directed.

6. Leads and/or participates in employee engagement and retention initiatives.

7. Provides accurate and timely tracking of recruitment activities.

8. Assists with employee relations matters, as appropriate.

9. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding personnel and resident information.

10. Performs other duties as assigned by Executive Director and/or the Human Resources Department.

11. Personifies outstanding customer service to co-workers, vendors, and others by acting as a subject matter resource in a timely, considerate, and friendly manner, always maintaining the “Golden Rule” approach, practices patience and kindness.

 

Required Education: Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school

Required Experience: One year of Human Resources or related experience

Preferred Experience: One year of experience in long-term care or health care setting
