Commercial Director Online Sales - interim 


The organization 

For a medium-sized privately owned company, based in the center of The Netherlands, we are looking to recruit a strong interim Commercial Director of online sales, for a period of approximately 6-9 months, with the key objective to significantly improve the online business performance and to boost efficiency and customer experience. 

 

The role – the assignment 

The interim Commercial Director will lead a small team of online professionals, harvest relationships with business partners like Bol or Amazon while fostering a high-performance culture. The temporary role will focus on commercial excellence, accelerating the online sales performance, while improving customer experience through the implementation of AI tools 

 

The ideal candidate 

Background and experience

  • 5+ years of online commercial experience, with experience leading teams 
  • Passionate about branding, design and consumer goods (home and living products) 
  • Proven results (profitable sales growth) on channels like Bol or Amazon 
  • Online platform expertise, being able to balance online/offline sales strategies 
  • Experienced in business development across countries 
  • Data driven mindset and decision making 
  • Eager to make AI work ultimately improving customer experience 
  • Developing and executing the pricing strategy in a highly competitive environment 
  • Fluency in English.
