Trueline's client, a leading property management company specializing in student housing, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team in West Lafayette, IN. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic accounting team, focusing on financial statement preparation and comprehensive accounting support across multiple segments.


What You'll Do as the Senior Accounting Manager:

- Collaborate closely with Market Presidents to address property owner requests

- Spearhead financial statement production for corporate and market segments

- Contribute to individual property financial reporting

- Maintain detailed Balance Sheet documentation for key properties

- Oversee critical reconciliations including depreciation, bad debt, and security deposits

- Manage payroll entry from bi-monthly payroll runs

- Support bank and loan reconciliation processes

- Help establish robust financial review procedures across all departments

- Assist with period closing procedures, property management fee reviews, and suspense account reconciliations

- Contribute to other accounting department initiatives as needed


You'll Succeed as the Senior Accounting Manager if you Have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting

- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles

- Prior experience managing staff

- Ability to thrive in a multi-entity environment with frequent interruptions

- Excellent prioritization and communication skills

- A positive, owner-facing presence

- Problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a strong attention to detail

- Focus on continuous improvement and accountability

- Experience with AppFolio software (preferred but not required)
