Business Unit Finance Manager role is open due to an internal promotion. Partner with the VP of Operations. Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for key business units
- Partner with the Shared Service Center ensuring compliance with US GAAP and corporate policies and procedures.
- Serve as Business Partner to Business Operations leadership in order to achieve business objectives
- Perform operational statistical and metrics tracking and comparative analysis of long-term financials, evaluate financial performance and make recommendations to drive reaching business unit objectives.
- Comprehend accounting, interpret financial reports, and understand key concepts (e.g., cash flow and profit margins) to make sound business decisions to drive strategic choices that align with financial goals
- Partner with Operational and Business leaders to ensure monthly/quarterly financial forecasts, long term plans and annual budgets are aligned to achieve corporate goals
- To effectively communicate business results, leverage data mining and other tools to gain a thorough understanding of the detail behind, revenue, expense, profits, etc.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives through timely identification of areas in need.
- Compile and analyze financial information related to month-end close in partnership with the Shared Service Center
- Own the review and timely reporting of financial statements
- Support internal/external audits.
- Perform special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting required.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex finance and accounting issues
- Perform off-cycle financial analysis as needed
- Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
- Able to effectively prioritize assignments and meet deadlines with accuracy
- Proven strategic and critical thinking skills
- Ability to grasp and resolve complex issues
- Able to identify innovative solutions to financial or operational business events
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
