Receiving Clerk – Solar Module Receiving & Inspection

Location: Memphis, TN

Schedule: Mid-September – Mid-November 2025

Project Type: Utility-Scale Solar – Module Safe Harbor Storage


Overview:

We are seeking detail-oriented Receiving Clerks with experience in module receiving for utility-scale solar projects. This role will involve monitoring offloads at warehouse locations, inspecting modules for damage, completing all required receiving documentation, and filing claims with the manufacturer as needed. The Receiving Clerk will support safe harbor storage of modules prior to project deployment.


Key Responsibilities:


Offload Monitoring & Inspection

  • Oversee module offloading at designated warehouse locations.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for visible and concealed damage.
  • Document inspection findings with photographs and detailed notes.


Receiving Documentation & Claims

  • Complete all receiving paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of shipments, including quantities and condition.
  • File claims with First Solar (or other manufacturer) for damaged modules in accordance with project procedures.


Safe Harbor Storage Support

  • Coordinate placement of modules into safe harbor storage according to site layout and handling procedures.
  • Ensure storage environment and stacking meet manufacturer guidelines to prevent damage.
  • Track and report inventory status to project management.


Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety protocols during offloading and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer handling requirements and project QA/QC standards.


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with solar module receiving for utility-scale projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper module handling, inspection, and storage procedures.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer claim processes (First Solar experience a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a warehouse environment.
  • OSHA 10/30 or other safety training preferred.
