Job Description:
We are supporting a client in the renewable energy sector in their search for a Construction Project Manager to oversee the ongoing construction of a 200 MW utility-scale solar project located in Anson, Texas. This role offers a mostly remote work structure with site visits required approximately once per month or as needed for key construction milestones, inspections, and progress meetings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing utility-scale solar projects and be well-versed in construction scope, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance. Familiarity with Procore project management software and ERCOT requirements is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day construction management of the utility-scale solar project, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Conduct monthly on-site inspections and attend key meetings, such as project milestones, quality checks, and inspections.
- Manage project scope, identify change orders, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Use Procore to manage construction documentation, workflows, RFIs, submittals, and progress tracking.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or risks.
- Ensure compliance with ERCOT requirements and all applicable codes and safety standards.
- Review and validate project invoices, change orders, and budget tracking.
- Support project commissioning and turnover processes.
- Report regularly to the client and internal leadership with project status updates, including progress reports, budget reviews, and risk assessments.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience, including significant experience with utility-scale solar projects (100 MW+ preferred).
- Strong familiarity with Procore project management software.
- Working knowledge of ERCOT interconnection processes and regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, construction schedules, and scopes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work remotely while staying highly engaged.
- Willingness and ability to travel to the project site (Anson, TX) approximately once per month or as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
