Mechanical Superintendent – Utility-Scale Wind Project
Location: Initial travel to Dubois, PA & Baltimore, MD; primary site near Sidman, PA

Schedule: 55 hour weeks
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to oversee turbine offload inspections, monitor erection activities, and lead mechanical completion walkdowns for a multi-site utility-scale wind project. This role will require phased mobilization to multiple locations for component deliveries and will be based full-time at the primary project site near Sidman, PA from January 2026 through project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Component Offload & Inspection
- Oversee and document offload inspections of towers, nacelles, and blades at delivery points.
- Coordinate with logistics teams, OEM representatives, and site crews to ensure proper handling and storage.
- Identify, report, and track any transport or offload damage.
Turbine Erection Oversight
- Monitor and coordinate the erection process of wind turbine towers, nacelles, and blades.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, project drawings, and QA/QC requirements.
- Verify proper use of erection equipment, rigging, and lifting procedures.
Mechanical Completion & Walkdowns
- Lead and document mechanical completion walkdowns in coordination with QA/QC teams.
- Track punch list items and oversee corrective actions to close deficiencies.
- Ensure turnover packages are complete for each turbine and mechanical system.
Coordination & Safety
- Interface with site management, contractors, and OEMs to maintain schedule alignment.
- Monitor mechanical work for adherence to safety protocols, environmental requirements, and project procedures.
- Participate in daily coordination meetings and provide progress updates to project leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of mechanical supervision experience on utility-scale wind projects.
- Strong knowledge of wind turbine mechanical systems, erection procedures, and OEM standards.
- Experience with turbine offload, inspection, and mechanical completion documentation.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct subcontractor crews.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred.
- Willingness to travel between offload sites and final project site as scheduled.
