Salary/Pay Rate: $27.42 - $36.95/hour (commensurate with 1-16+ years of experience); Shift Differential: $3.25 (Nights).

Schedule: Day Shift or Night Shift, Rotating Weekends, Full-Time Onsite.

Job Description:

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will operate under general supervision to perform the full scope of respiratory care duties for patients across all age spectrums. This is a critical role that requires immediate competency in acute care ventilation. You will be responsible for the set-up and administration of all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures, including the application and autonomous operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation. You are expected to be self-directed in maintaining all department and hospital records and accurately entering therapy information into the hospital computer system. Your work directly contributes to stabilizing and improving the respiratory health of the hospital’s most critical patients.

Required Skills:

• Florida Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligible for state licensure (Note: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) experience is NOT being considered).
• Minimum of 1+ year of RRT experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in the application and operation of acute care ventilators for continuous mechanical ventilation.
• Strong ability to function as a self-directed clinician in the absence of a Team Leader.
• Experience administering a wide variety of routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures.
• Proven proficiency in accurate data entry and record maintenance using hospital computer systems.
