§ Salary: $300,000 to $500,000 Base Salary (Plus performance bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefit suite)

Duties:

The incoming Real Estate Development Partner will lead and manage complex commercial real estate transactions, providing strategic counsel to developers, enterprise owners, and institutional investors. This position demands sophisticated transactional legal skills, senior-level client management capabilities, and an active commitment to firm growth and cross-practice collaboration.

Primary responsibilities include: ⨖ Directing complex real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio transfers across commercial, residential, retail, and industrial asset classes. ⨖ Structuring, drafting, and negotiating sophisticated joint venture agreements, partnership structures, and equity investment frameworks. ⨖ Advising commercial developers on multi-phase development projects, including land assembly, permitting, zoning approvals, and land use entitlements. ⨖ Overseeing the negotiation and execution of high-value commercial, industrial, and office leasing transactions. ⨖ Supervising comprehensive due diligence processes, title and survey examinations, and land use regulatory compliance evaluations. ⨖ Cultivating key client relationships and driving strategic business development initiatives to expand market share across the region.


Qualifications:

Candidates must possess an established track record and senior-level legal expertise to immediately manage sophisticated matters. ⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials. ⨖ Active Bar admission in good standing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. ⨖ Twelve (12) to twenty (20) years of substantive experience representing commercial real estate developers, investors, and property owners. ⨖ Demonstrated track record of independently managing high-stakes real estate transactions, complex development projects, and land use matters. ⨖ An established or portable book of business, alongside a historical track record of business generation. ⨖ Superior drafting, analytical, negotiation, and professional communication skills.


Skills:

The following credentials and attributes are highly preferred: ⨖ Advanced expertise in municipal zoning hearings, land use entitlements, and public-private development structures. ⨖ Established network of commercial real estate contacts, institutional lenders, and municipal stakeholders throughout Greater Boston. ⨖ Proven leadership capabilities in mentoring junior associates and managing multi-disciplinary transactional teams. ⨖ Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to cross-sell complementary practice areas across a national platform.
