Senior Matrimonial & Family Law Litigator | Senior Associate ⚖️
§ Practice Area: High-Net-Worth Matrimonial Litigation & Complex Domestic Relations
§ Location: New York, NY (Hybrid: 4 Days In-Office / 1 Day Remote)
§ Salary: $175,000 to $265,000+
§ Schedule: Full-time, Direct-Hire, Minimum 1,850 hours annual billed target.

§ Duties:
The incoming Senior Matrimonial Associate will serve as a lead attorney across a diverse docket of domestic relations matters, guiding high-net-worth clients through every phase of litigation from initial intake through final disposition or appellate review.
Core responsibilities include:
⨖ Conducting high-level client intake and strategic consultations to establish case objectives and risk mitigation strategies for complex marital dissolutions.
⨖ Authoring and arguing substantive pre- and post-judgment motions, pendente lite applications, and emergency orders to show cause in New York Supreme and Family Courts.
⨖ Managing complex financial discovery, including coordinating with forensic accountants, valuation experts, and tax professionals to analyze closely held businesses and marital assets.
⨖ Preparing and conducting depositions of parties, expert witnesses, and financial assessors.
⨖ Spearheading all courtroom proceedings, including preliminary and compliance conferences, oral arguments, and evidentiary hearings.
⨖ Managing first-chair or co-counsel duties for trials and hearings, overseeing witness examination, exhibit curation, and post-trial submission drafting.
§ Qualifications:
Candidates must possess superior advocacy skills, seasoned courtroom presence, and the technical depth required to manage sophisticated matrimonial litigation independently.
⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with an outstanding academic record.
⨖ Active Bar License in good standing in the State of New York.
⨖ Seven (7) to Eight (8) Years of substantive, direct experience specializing in New York matrimonial and family law litigation.
⨖ Proven track record of managing courtroom appearances, conducting depositions, arguing substantive motions, and leading trial/hearing proceedings.
⨖ Mastery of New York Domestic Relations Law, financial disclosure procedures, equitable distribution principles, and custodial standards.
§ Skills:
The following preferential credentials and experience will significantly enhance an applicant's candidacy:
⨖ Extensive experience drafting complex prenuptial, postnuptial, and separation agreements involving intricate asset-structuring provisions.
⨖ Demonstrated expertise in cross-examining financial experts and forensic evaluators in complex valuation disputes.
⨖ Exceptional interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills necessary for managing high-net-worth clients in sensitive domestic disputes.
⨖ Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring junior associates and directing paralegal trial support teams.
