Job Description:
As the PACU Nurse Manager, you will function as a working manager, holding primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations and clinical oversight of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. This critical leadership role focuses on operational excellence, ensuring effective patient flow, and achieving productivity targets for a team of 18.5 FTEs. Your responsibilities include planning, directing, and controlling staffing assignments, which directly impacts effective department coverage. You will be a key change agent and role model, reviewing and approving personnel performance appraisals, establishing goals for staff, and participating in continuous Process Improvement activities. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reviewing and revising departmental manuals, policies, and protocols, and actively contributing to budget and inventory control for the unit.
