§ Title: Complex Commercial Litigation Counsel | Mid-Level Associate

Practice Area: Multi-Jurisdictional Dispute Resolution, Business Torts, and Energy Litigation

§ Location: Oklahoma City, OK

§ Salary: $175,000 to $215,000 (Based on current market valuations for premier national firms in the region, supplemented by a competitive performance-based bonus structure and comprehensive health and retirement benefits)

§ Schedule: Full-time, Direct-Hire, Minimum 1,850 hours annual billed

§ Duties: The incoming Litigation Associate will serve as a core contributor to a high-volume, fast-paced practice, managing intricate business disputes from pre-suit investigation through final adjudication. This role demands a high level of sophistication in handling diverse legal matters that impact modern commercial operations. Core responsibilities include:

⨖ Formulating and executing comprehensive litigation strategies for complex commercial cases involving contract disputes, shareholder disagreements, and sophisticated business torts.

⨖ Drafting and arguing dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss and for summary judgment, in both state and federal courts.

⨖ Conducting and defending critical depositions of fact witnesses and corporate representatives to build a robust evidentiary record.

⨖ Facilitating the discovery process by managing electronic document reviews, responding to interrogatories, and coordinating with expert witnesses.

⨖ Providing direct counsel to clients regarding risk mitigation and litigation exposure, ensuring that legal tactics remain aligned with overarching business objectives.

⨖ Participating in all phases of trial preparation and courtroom advocacy, including opening statements, witness examinations, and post-trial briefing.

§ Qualifications:

⨖ Juris Doctor in Law from an ABA-accredited law school with a record of distinguished academic achievement.

⨖ Active licensure and good standing with the State Bar of Oklahoma.

⨖ Four (4) to Six (6) years of substantive experience in complex commercial litigation within a reputable boutique or large-scale national firm.

⨖ Demonstrated proficiency in navigating the procedural nuances of state and federal litigation environments.

⨖ Exceptional drafting and oral advocacy skills required to represent sophisticated clients in high-stakes settings.

§ Skills:

⨖ Specialized exposure to oil and gas litigation or energy-sector disputes is highly advantageous.

⨖ Proven ability to manage high-pressure deadlines and multifaceted assignments within a collaborative, team-oriented structure.

⨖ Advanced technical skills in legal research and writing, with an emphasis on creating persuasive and concise work product.

⨖ Prior experience in a first-chair or lead associate capacity on significant matters of law.

⨖ High degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to interact professionally with senior partners, opposing counsel, and institutional client representatives.
