Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) - Specialty Radiologic Diagnostics

Location: Fort Pierce, FL

Salary/Pay Rate: $30.34 - $42.47/hour (based on years of experience).

Schedule: Days, Evenings, Mixed 8-hour shifts (6A-2:30P, 7A-3P, 8A-4P, 9A-5P, 3P-11P), Rotating Weekends, Full-Time Onsite

Unit/Specialty: Nuclear Medicine / Diagnostic Imaging

Seniority: Staff-Level Technologist

Job Description:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), you will perform a variety of highly technical procedures involved in applying ionizing radiation for screening and diagnostic purposes. Your primary duty is to ensure the procedures are executed with maximum patient safety and in full accordance with ALARA standards. This involves managing the complete process, from setting up and regulating the complex equipment used to expose the radiographic film, to developing and organizing the resulting diagnostic images. You will be directly involved in critical patient care by providing necessary support and procedures that lead to accurate diagnoses, acting as a crucial link between the physician and the patient's diagnostic results.


Required Skills:

  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification is REQUIRED.
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician license in Florida.
  • Associate Degree (or higher).
  • Ability to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Ability to obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.


Preferred Skills:

  • Proven experience performing a wide variety of technical nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Expert knowledge and adherence to ALARA radiation safety standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in regulating imaging equipment and organizing diagnostic films.
  • Strong commitment to providing support and services in a patient-centered environment.
  • Clinical competency to act autonomously across a mix of Day and Evening 8-hour shifts.
