Our selection process incorporates comprehensive resume screening, shortlisting, conducting video-recorded interviews and providing client information, administering written assessments (if required by the client), arranging client interviews, and facilitating job offers and placements.


The Client

The client is a fully integrated B2B tech agency. They serve as a growth advisor and nimble execution partner for technology leaders across cloud, infrastructure, AI, supply chain, cyber, health, and climate tech. With a focus on transforming complexity into impact, the client empowers game-changing technologies and innovations to be recognized, accepted, and adopted quickly. They offer a comprehensive suite of services, including strategy, positioning, and GTM; PR, content, and social marketing; cutting-edge ABX campaigns; and digital experiences.


The Role

The client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to lead their new business development initiatives and drive agency growth. This role requires a strategic leader with a passion for building businesses, a talent for inspiring teams, and deep experience and understanding of the B2B technology landscape.


The Director of Business Development will lead new business growth, acting as a strategic advisor to clients and an ambassador for the agency. You will identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, develop and execute sales strategies, and collaborate across departments to drive revenue.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales growth strategies.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new client accounts.
  • Build and maintain executive-level client relationships.
  • Lead successful pitch presentations and close deals.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and report on sales activities.
  • Implement effective lead generation and qualification strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and ensure client success.
  • Optimize growth strategies using data analytics and performance metrics.
  • Enhance agency reputation through thought leadership activities.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years in marketing, business development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in quota-carrying leadership positions.
  • Proven track record of driving significant business growth in a marketing agency or professional services firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in new business development, client relationship management, and sales presentations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex client needs and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Strategic vision combined with tactical execution capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of the marketing, PR, and communications industry.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GTM, positioning, creative direction, or production oversight.
  • Background in B2B marketing strategy and execution.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in modern martech and sales enablement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
