Senior Healthcare Leadership Role in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia: Director of Clinic Operations


Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $90,000 to $115,000+

Location: Fraser Valley, BC


A well-established physician-owned medical clinic in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, is seeking an experienced Director of Clinic Operations to lead the administrative, operational, and financial management of a busy and growing family practice.

This is a newly created senior leadership role designed to strengthen operational systems and provide professional management support to a collaborative group of physicians.

The Director of Clinic Operations will oversee clinic administration and staff leadership while working closely with Physician Leads to ensure the clinic operates efficiently and supports high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  •  Lead and manage all non-physician staff, including Medical Office Assistants and administrative personnel.
  • Provide operational leadership and oversight of clinic workflow and staffing.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and HR processes.
  • Oversee clinic financial administration, including budgeting, reporting, and vendor relationships.
  • Liaise with external billing providers and monitor billing performance metrics, including MSP, ICBC, WorkSafe BC, and private billings.
  • Lead operational improvements and implement effective clinic systems and policies.
  • Support physician leadership with operational planning and reporting.

 

Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Services Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant leadership experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience supervising operational teams.
  • Healthcare administration experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated HR leadership and staff management experience.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance operational management with strategic thinking.


Compensation

  • Salary range of $90,000 to $115,000, depending on experience.
  • RRSP matching eligibility.
  • Health Spending Account.
  • Three weeks’ vacation to start.
  • Full-time permanent leadership role.
