Benoure is seeking an experienced HVAC/Plumbing Installer to join its installation team.
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing and applicable gas systems across a diverse mix of commercial, residential, custom and high-end residential, new-construction, and renovation projects. Depending on experience, licensing, and project needs, the HVAC/Plumbing Installer may also contribute to HVAC and other mechanical system installations.
This opportunity is well suited for a licensed tradesperson who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands the importance of safe and code-compliant installations, and enjoys working on varied plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical projects as part of an experienced mechanical contracting team.
The HVAC/Plumbing Installer will:
Install plumbing systems for commercial, residential, custom residential, new-construction, and renovation projects.
Install and connect piping, fixtures, faucets, sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, water heaters, and related plumbing equipment.
Perform plumbing rough-in, installation, finish work, testing, and system start-up.
Install and service gas piping and gas-fired equipment when appropriately licensed or certified to perform the work.
Assist with HVAC and mechanical system installation, piping, equipment, and related work based on experience, licensing, and assigned responsibilities.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, construction plans, and plumbing and mechanical layouts.
Ensure plumbing, gas, and applicable mechanical installations comply with relevant codes, manufacturer specifications, project requirements, and Benoure standards.
Troubleshoot plumbing, gas, and related mechanical systems and determine appropriate repairs or solutions.
Identify material, equipment, and jobsite requirements and communicate needs to the appropriate supervisor or project manager.
Coordinate effectively with project managers, supervisors, contractors, customers, other trades, and team members.
Maintain accurate job and project documentation as required.
Properly use and maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicles.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Follow company safety policies and applicable workplace safety requirements.
Provide guidance and direction to apprentices and less-experienced employees when assigned.
Maintain professional communication and conduct with customers, contractors, coworkers, and other trades.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Current Vermont Journeyman Plumber or Master Plumber License.
Previous professional plumbing experience.
Working knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, installation methods, and applicable plumbing codes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, plans, and plumbing layouts.
Ability to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures.
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a project team.
Ability to safely operate tools and equipment associated with the plumbing and mechanical trades.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Effective communication skills when working with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, customers, and other trades.
Additional experience or credentials that would be valuable include:
Commercial plumbing experience.
Residential and new-construction plumbing experience.
Custom or high-end residential plumbing experience.
Vermont Master Plumber License.
HVAC experience, including familiarity with heating, hydronic, mechanical, and related systems.
Applicable Vermont gas licenses or certifications, including propane and natural gas credentials appropriate to the work being performed.
Experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing gas piping, gas-fired appliances, and related equipment.
Additional plumbing, HVAC, gas, mechanical, or trade-related licenses and certifications.
Experience supervising, mentoring, or providing guidance to apprentices.
The position requires the ability to perform the physical duties associated with plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and construction work, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, and working in confined or restricted spaces.
The employee must be able to safely use ladders, hand tools, power tools, and trade-related equipment and to lift, carry, push, or move materials and equipment associated with the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work is performed at residential, commercial, and construction locations and may include both indoor and outdoor environments.
Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions, noise, dust, construction materials, mechanical equipment, and other conditions commonly associated with plumbing, HVAC, and construction work.
Employees are expected to follow all applicable safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
